Background
There is a growing consensus on health systems built around primary health care (PHC) as the best approach for countries to achieve universal health coverage. But do we have the health workforce that can deliver on PHC?
This webinar – the second in a series – will share country experiences on reforms that helped them in strengthening and shaping the workforce for PHC, and the challenges they faced in their journey.
Objectives
The webinar aims to:
Participants
Key participants will be government officials in national ministries responsible for health workforce planning, and other stakeholders involved in strengthening either or both PHC and the health workforce, including health systems and workforce policy-makers, planners, managers, experts, educators and researchers. All members active in the regional human resources for health and nursing networks are also welcome to join, including partner agencies, academic institutions and World Health Organization collaborating centres (WHO CCs).
